About Vermont
Vermont is a beautiful area, full of mountains, located west of New Hampshire, and below Canada. There are all sorts of mountains all over Vermont, and on this site we will go over a couple of the resident's and vacationers favorite mountains. Below we will put a list of all the best mountains in Vermont, so if the ones on our page are not appealing to you, you can always look find some of the others and find one that is perfect for you.
Other Mountains
Some more of the fantastic mountains in Vermount include...- Killington Peak-At 4,236 feet, this beautiful hike is the second highest in the state of Vermont. It is located in Southern Vermont, and while great to hike in the spring and summer, it is also fun to ski during the winter!
- Stratton Mountain-At 3,940 feet tall, this hike is slightly easier than than some of the others mentioned on this website. There are beautiful views at the top, and also a small cabin that a caretaker lives in, although this is not open to the public.
- Dorset Mountain-Unlike some of the other mountains located in New England, this mountain is more safe to hik during any time of the year. Proper winter equipment is still required for winter hikers, but it is still a safer travel, even for less experienced hikers. Camping is also permitted!
